A low level environmental contamination solution
Electrostatic painting
is a specialized application of wet paint, usually epoxy paint, that takes advantage of an imposed electrical field generated between spray gun electrode and work surface. The process applies a positive charge to the paint while the item being shot is grounded, thereby producing electrostatic attraction. An even, uniform, coat is achieved with little or no
over spray.
Less over spray, effective material yield, higher transfer efficiency, time savings, superior finish quality, less cleaning and a healthier environment are the principal advantages of the process in comparison to conventional air atomized equipment.
Grocery store display cases are often refinished with an epoxy paint F.D.A. approved for incidental food contact, which means the food can remain in the cases while the outsides are being refinished.
Applications:
- Refinishing office furniture
- Elevator doors
- Indoor structural components
- Cold storage cases, Freezer cases, meat cases
- Produce cases
- Water coolers
