Blasting is used to clean surfaces, remove rust, oxidation, or finishes, preparing surfaces for new coating applications. A specialized blasting machine propels abrasive media at high velocity via water or compressed air onto the surface to be cleaned. This process thoroughly removes the material without harming the substrate and can be done wet or dry. Blasting media is available in purpose specific densities, abrasives, and sizes.
